How does the Salah [Prayer] protect from Fahshah and Munkar?

There are many reasons derived from the Divine texts and sound ration which explain how the salah protects from munkar and fahshaa not for individuals but also in the society, some of these include:-

1) Salah is a reminder of Allah and a reminder of Fire so is a deterrent
2) Salah is an occupation of time
3) Salah is a detterent due to fear of hypocrisy
4) Salah is a call for divine help due to Faatiha 'isti'aana'
5) Salah is a call for knowledge 'guide us onto the straight path'
6) Salah is a meeting with people of deen "The deen of one of you is that of his close friend" (ABU DAWOOD, TIRMIDHI)
7) The hadeeth says that fajr salah protects the person who prays it
8) Salah is from the faraa'id and so you move closer to Allah by the obligations and by nawaafil, Allah guides them then further (refer to the hadeeth qudsi on this in BUKHAARI)
9) Salah is a clinging to Jamah and is a protection from Shaytaan
10) Salah is dhikr and dhikr is a protection from Shaytaan
11) Allah (swt) says, "Verily man was created impatient, irritible when evil touches him and niggardly when good touches him. Except to those devoted to prayer, those who remain constant in their prayers..." (al Ma'aarij 70:19-23)
